REAR: ONE Eucalyptus tree (T1)(ht approx.15-18m) FELL. Duty to replace applies with a similar sized tree species ? see informative B below.REASON: health & safety, root has tilted to the point that it appears it will fall over soon, particularly if there are strong winds. It is close to the shed and boundary fence in the back garden. If the tree falls it will cause damage to my property and my neighbours' property and possibly persons.REPLANTING PROPOSAL: I propose to replace the tree with an olive tree.Informative A: the landowner has a duty to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species when a tree is removed in a conservation area because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm. This needs to be a medium sized tree, preferably native species to replace rear amenity, enhance biodiversity and reduce increasingly high summer temperatures with such as: field maple, whitebeam, crab apple, hawthorn, bird cherry, holly, Strawberry tree. Informative C: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.
