REASON: The proposed roof extension, by reason of its inappropriate scale, massing, bulk, form and detailed design, would form a dominant, discordant and incongruous addition to the host building and wider terrace being readily visible from the surrounding public and private realms. The proposed development would therefore be contrary to the National Planning Policy Framework (2024), Policy PLAN1 of Islington’s Strategic and Development Management Policies (2023) and the guidance contained within the Islington Urban Design Guide (2017).
