Planning conditions
  1. REASON: The introduction of a new side entrance door is therefore considered inappropriate in design terms. Furthermore, the creation of a side-facing entrance, resulting in two adjacent principal entrances serving the same building, would be uncharacteristic to the host locally listed building and the wider terrace. The proposed side entrance would impact on the integrity of the host building and would detract from the streetscape and surrounding townscape. The proposal would therefore be contrary to Policies D1, D4, and HC1 of the London Plan 2021; Policies PLAN1, DH1, and DH2 of Islington’s SDMP 2023; and the guidance set out in the Conservation Area Design Guide (2002) and Urban Design Guide (2017).
  2. Drawing numbers and documents: Location Plan, Block Plan, D02, D04; Planning Statement; Sustainable Design and Construction Statement.
