Council planning record

Request to fell Cypress tree hidden in bushes (box 1 in plan). Tree located within 7 metres of proposed and approved extension at 36 Vallance Road. The presence of the tree creates an onerous requirement for the depth of foundations needed for extension. The tree is practically not visible in the shrubbery between Vallance Road no. and no. 38. Please see attached pictures. Please also see attached written advice from the relevant structural engineer - please note that this tree was hidden from plain sight and hence the original structural survey did not capture this tree and take it into account, we now believe the most efficient and least onerous step forward is to fell the tree, particularly given the tree's lack of social amenity, prominence, and noticeability. Please also see the Building Control report that specifically highlighted the need to take into consideration the trees identified on site (note the picture on the bottom of page 6 of the Building Control report). Lastly, please see attached the relevant planning decision documents.
