Variation of Condition 2 (approved drawings) of planning permission reference : 2021/03211/FUL dated 19th July 2022 for the "Installation and screening of 2no. new air source combo heat pumps on the roof of the Oncology Building; installation and screening of 2no. new air source combo heat pumps on the roof of the X-ray Building; installation of an external plant area on a raised deck adjacent to the Tower block; installation of a new substation; and installation of pipework to existing external fabric to serve all new heat pumps, including to the full extent of the north elevation of the Tower Block from ground up to the 17th floor." Amendments sought are an extension, consisting of a fourth bay, to the approved sub-station which is required to provide the additional electrical loads for an additional air source heat pump as part of the hospital's decarbonisation scheme to replace the existing steam and chilled water systems.
