Council planning record

17/3/22Oak (T8) - Pollard the Lowest limb on the South side back by approximately 4M to clear the Yew. Also reduce all of the lowest limbs new growth on the South, South East and South West side by approx 2 metres back to previous pollard point. Reduce the very large scaffold limb (lowest on the west side) back by approximately 60% back to the elbow at the horizontal section of the limb to reduce the risk of future failure. Reasons: To prevent leaf debris over the garage and swimming pool area and also to give the Yew more room to grow and to increase light levels. Sycamore (T9) - Cavity at ground level on the SW side of the base which extends inwards to more than half the diameter of the trunk. Adjacent roots have deadwood and exposed dead cambium. The tree has a heavy lean of over 15 degrees over the top of recently renovated buildings. Reduce end weight by reducing back to the lowest major crotch leaving just 3 minor stems. Reasons: To reduce end weight to reduce risk of failure and damage to target buildings below. Sycamore (T10) - East side lowest limb reduce by approximately 50% due to asymmetric unbalanced crown and a trunk with a large 2M cavity with exposed dead cambium. Reasons: To reduce end weight to improve the balance of the tree and to reduce risk of failure and subsequent damage to target buildings below. Sycamore (T11) - Lowest scaffold limb extending 45 degrees Northwards over adjacent property is at high risk of failure. Remove the entire limb back to the trunk to reduce risk of failure. Reasons: To prevent risk of failure onto adjacent property. Sycamore (T12) - Bifurcates at 1 metre - smaller stem extending Northwards over the adjacent property with heavy end weight is at risk of failure. Reduce entire limb back by approximately 50%. Reasons: To reduce end weight and reduce risk of failure. Sycamore (T27) - No work required - shown for reference and identification purposes only.
