Internal and external alterations comprising: 1. Widening of external stair, introduction of new doors and fanlight, and bridge to fire escape access on New Cross Street. 2. Replacement of steel sliding gate with double leaf cast iron gate to ramp on New Cross Street. 3. Removal of sections of stone plinth and cast iron railing, and reinstatement following installation of ventilation ducts and grilles. 4. Internal alterations including alterations to door and window openings to atrium and between rooms at ground floor, first, and second floors and new openings at basement level. 5. Alterations to handrail to basement stairwell. (Introduction of new entrance ramp to provide access from the street into the building (reduced length relative to previously approved).
