View council mapThe tree is a silver birch. We would like to carry out "crown reduction" reducing the height of the tree from ~10m to ~7m. Similarly, we would like to reduce the spread of the crown at the rear to reduce the amount of overhang with our rear neighbours. We will keep the left-right spread similar, only carrying out "crown thinning" in this respect to ensure the tree does not block too much light from our neighbours' gardens and our own.
