Council planning record

EIA Scoping Request - Extraction of 3 million tonnes of sand and gravel from the continuation of Bradwell Quarry across Site A5 as identified as a preferred site in the Minerals Local Plan (2014). In addition, the retention of the existing access onto the A120, processing plant including sand and gravel washing plant, office and weighbridge, ready mix concrete plant, bagging unit, DSM plant, water and silt management systems, and extension of the internal haul road into Site A5. A5 is proposed to have low-level restoration to agriculture (with enhanced provision for biodiversity) through contours to ensure the final landform blends with the surrounding topography to blend with the proposed levels and planting scheme of the implemented IWMF scheme and the approved restoration plans for site A2.
