Decision & conditions

Refuse Tree Consent For
T_26_100690 PL_Final Decision
Planning conditions
  1. REFUSE: 1no. Multi stemmed Silver Birch (T1) - Reduce the height by up to 2.5m and the sides by 1.5m with a 30% thin out of interior branches as well.
  2. Reason: The proposed reduction of height by up to 2.5m and the sides by 1,5m with a 30%thin out of interior branches on 1no. multistemmed Silver Birch (T1) is considered unjustified in the absence of any defects or health concerns/nuisance and considering a significant loss of public amenity that would result if the works were to be permitted. The proposed works will be of detriment to the health and appearance of the tree. The works would thus result in an adverse impact upon the visual amenity, ecology and wildlife and screening of the surrounding area. The owner has the option to have the tree fully assessed by a professional arboriculturist and then should any structural of physiological defect is found they could reapply providing sufficient evidence. They have been advised that deadwood can be removed without planning permission. More details are available in the Officer Report.
