Decision & conditions

Part Consent Part Refuse Trees
T_25_99290 PL_Final Decision
Planning conditions
  1. REFUSE: 1no. Oak (T1) - Canopy clean & canopy thin by 20%. Removal of branch epicormic growth REASON FOR REFUSAL: The application oak was found to be in good condition and is capable of making long term contribution to the visual amenity of the area. The proposed canopy clean, thin of 20% and removal of branch epicormics will not be of benefit to the tree but will leave a large number of wounds throughout the crown which may become colonised by decay organisms. Any benefit in terms of light to surrounding gardens will likely be short-lived as the tree recovers its foliage. A lesser specification, to allow for the reasonable removal of weakened, diseased or otherwise defective branches has been permitted (see below).
  2. CONSENT TO: T1 Oak – Crown-thin by 10%, favouring the removal of damaged, diseased and weakly attached branches. 2no. Leylandii/laurel Hedge (H1 & H2) – Fell
  3. The tree works hereby consented shall be completed within 2 years of the date of this permission and shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details and to British Standard for Tree Work BS3998:2010
  4. Notes to applicant: All works hereby consented should be carried out by a suitably qualified and insured tree surgeon. A copy of the decision notice should be given to the Tree Surgeon. Deadwood may be removed at any time without an application. Please be advised that the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 as amended, the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and the Conservation (Natural Habitats) Regulations 1994 protect ALL wild birds, their nests (whether in use or being built) and eggs and other wild animals including bats and their roosts in or adjacent to trees. The granting of consent does not give the applicant or their agent a legal right to enter land without the owner’s permission.
