REFUSE: 5no. English Oak (G5, comprising of T1-T5) - Crown thin, removing selected branches in the upper canopy to reduce current density by up to 10%.
Reason: The proposed 10% thinning of the crowns on 5no. Oak (T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5) is considered unjustified and will be of detriment to the health and appearance of the trees but also reduce their public amenity as the crowns are already somewhat sparse. The other works proposed in this application will be able to solve any overhang/encroachment issues making crown thinning excessive.
CONSENT TO: 5no. English Oak (G5, comprising of T1-T5) - Clear the overhead services by 0.5m. Clear the adjacent property by 2m & reduce growth towards No. 106 on T2 & T5 by 1.5m to suitable growth points.
