REFUSE: 1no. Oak (T1) - Reduce by up to 3m away from house to maintain tree to its surroundings. 1no. Oak (T2) - Fell suppressed specimen to ground level to improve form of more established surrounding trees.
Reason: The proposed reduction by up to 3m away from house on T1 and felling of T2 are considered unjustified as T1 has an adequate clearance from the property currently and removal of T2 will result in a gap that will expose the nature pole lacking any vegetation thus affecting the public amenity of the group as a whole. Additionally, increasing risks of the nature pole failure due to the wind exposure. More details are available in the officer report. The works would thus result in an adverse impact upon the visual amenity, ecology and wildlife and screening of the surrounding area.
