- The proposed single storey rear extension is not able to follow the prior notification process as the total enlargement (being the proposed extension together with the previous extension to which it would be joined) would extend beyond a side elevation of the original dwellinghouse (that of the side wall of the garage) and have a width greater than half the width of the original dwellinghouse. For this reason it would not comply with Schedule 2, Part 1, Class A(ja) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 and would therefore not be permitted development and would require a planning application.
