Decision & conditions

Not yet determined
H_26_101659 PL_Final Decision
Planning conditions
  1. The proposed first floor side extension by virtue of its mass, scale and roof form would result in an excessively bulky and ill-suited addition which would appear out of balance and incongruous to the appearance of the host dwelling and detrimental to the dwelling’s appearance and the visual amenity, character, pattern and uniformity of this part of Ashbridge Rise and the wider locality. As such, the proposals are considered to be contrary to Policy DM1 of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036, National Planning Policy Framework [2026] national decision-making policy DP3(1), and the Council’s ‘Quality Places’ Supplementary Planning Document [2026].
  2. Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans: 001-PAVITT-EX-1676-A1, 003-PAVITT-LP-1676-A4, 007-PAVITT-PR-1676-A1 and 010-PAVITT-SP-1676-A3. In accordance with National Planning Policy Framework [2026] national decision making policy DM3(1)(a), Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner. In this instance the application has been refused as it is contrary to the relevant policies of the Local Plan and the planning harm was unable to be resolved in a timely manner.
