Decision & conditions

Refuse Planning Permission For
H_25_99756 PL_Final Decision
Planning conditions
  1. The proposed creation of the new accesses would result in the introduction of significant visual and physical gaps within an otherwise continuous green frontage, to the detriment of the street scene, character and visual amenity of this section of Grange Road, together with the loss of an important green ecological corridor, to the detriment of local habitat and biodiversity. As such the development is considered to be contrary to Policies DM1 and DM11 of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan (2016-2036).
  2. Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans numbered: 994/07/100 and 994/07/101. In accordance with paragraph 39 of the National Planning Policy Framework (December 2024), Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner. In this instance the application has been refused as it is contrary to the relevant policies of the Local Plan and the planning harm was unable to be resolved in a timely manner.
