Planning conditions
  1. The development (due to its design, proportions and prominent corner plot) would form an unattractive and dominant feature, which is out of keeping and detrimental to the character and appearance of the existing dwelling and that of the Charnwood Crescent street scene. The development is therefore contrary to Policy DM1 of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan (2016-2036) and provisions with the National Planning Policy Framework and Quality Places Supplementary Planning Document.
  2. Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans: AP01-003B, AP01-002B, AP01-002A, AP01-001A, AP01-003A. In accordance with paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework (December 2024), Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner.
