- The proposed front dormer by reason of its size, scale, prominent siting and materials would result in an incongruous and discordant additions at odds with the appearance of the host dwelling, and the character of the wider surroundings. As such the proposed development is contrary to Policy DM1 of the Eastleigh Borough Council Local Plan (2016-2036), the Quality Places SPD (2011) and the contents of the National Planning Policy Framework (2021)
- Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans: 02 (Site Layout Plan), 15/2324 (Existing Floor and Elevations), 15/2324 (Proposed Plans, Elevations and Sections) and Loc 01 (Location Plan). In accordance with paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework (July 2021), Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner.
