- The proposed single storey rear extension due to its design, massing and scale would create an unattractive and incongruous feature at odds with the appearance of the house, neighbouring properties and detrimental to the character and pattern of development within the locality. The proposal is contrary to National Planning Policy Framework, policy DM1 of the Eastleigh Borough Council Adopted Local Plan (2016-2036) as well as Supplementary Planning Document, Quality Places
- Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans: PL/01. In accordance with paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework (July 2021). Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner.
