Refuse Planning Permission For
F_25_99466 PL_Final Decision F_25_99466 Decision notice informative leaflet - REF REM NEW F_25_99466 Delegated Officer Report pdf
Planning conditions
  1. The water filling station, by virtue of its siting, scale, colour and utilitarian appearance, results in an unduly prominent and visually intrusive feature within the setting of The Old George Public House, a Grade II listed building. The development fails to preserve or enhance the special architectural and historic interest of the heritage asset, and causes less than substantial harm to its significance, which is not outweighed by the public benefits. The proposal also detracts from the visual character and quality of the wider village centre, failing to respect the context, layout and materials of the surrounding area. As such, the development is contrary to Section 66(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990; the National Planning Policy Framework (2024); and Policies S8, DM1 and DM12 of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016–2036.
