- The development would increase the use of the front patio, resulting in an unacceptable level of noise and general disturbance from club members to the detriment of the amenity of the nearby residential properties. As such the development is contrary to Policies DM1 & DM8 of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan (2016-2036) and Provision within the National Planning Policy Framework.
- Note to Applicant: The application was refused following the assessment of the following plans: Location 1, Proposed Elevation 1, Floor Plan 1, Floor Plan 2, Balustrade 1 & Seating Plan 1. In accordance with paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework (September 2023), Eastleigh Borough Council takes a positive approach to the handling of development proposals so as to achieve, whenever possible, a positive outcome and to ensure all proposals are dealt with in a timely manner.
