Application overview
The development will utilise the route of the former Midland Railway Clowne Branch Line to construct a 3m wide, 7.5 Kilometre long surfaced strategic greenway from the village of Creswell, via Clowne to the new commerical development at the former Seymour Colliery. The development will provide seven DDA compliant connections to the existing highway and footpath network. The development will change the use of the site from a railway to a greenway. The Greenway is part of a boarder regeneration of the area that is ongoing with a view to improving employment and leisure opportunities and providing an environment that is attractive to tourists and investment.
