Council planning record

T1 x Birch - Fell. The tree is situated in close proximity to the road and grows in an area which has an abundance of Honey Fungus. The trees canopy is very much in decline and it keeps shedding branches. There is flaking bark on the main stem, at the base and on the surface roots. As well as small yellow fruiting bodies around the base of the stem, some of the surface roots are so soft and rotten that I was able to insert my finger through them. The tree leans over her boundary wall toward the road, and my client has informed me this has become worse over the past year. If the tree was to uproot which is the most likely way in which it could fail, it would fall onto the main street through Horley
