The intensity of the illumination of the two digital display screens shall not exceed 3000 candelas per square metre (cd/m2) during the day and 600 candelas per square metre (cd/m2) during the hours of darkness in line with the maximum permitted recommended luminance as set out by 'The Institute of Lighting Professional's 'Professional Lighting Guide 05: The Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements'. Reason To ensure that the brightness of the advertisement does not have an adverse effect on the amenities of the area and to avoid distraction and confusion to drivers on the adjoining highway.
