- The proposed rear extension would fail to meet the criteria of Class A.1(j)(iii) and (ja) of Schedule 2, Part 1 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended). In accordance with Paragraph (ja) and associated guidance within the GPDO Technical Guidance, the proposed rear extension when considered cumulatively with existing extensions and assessed against the ‘original’ dwellinghouse, would result in a total enlargement that exceeds half the width of the original dwelling. Planning permission is therefore required.
