Planning conditions
  1. In accordance with Paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework the Local Planning Authority has worked with the applicant in a positive and proactive manner to approve the proposed development. However, in this instance the proposal fails to accord with the Local Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework.
  2. The proposed boundary treatment, by virtue of its scale, height and finish, would appear visually intrusive and out of keeping with the character of the surrounding area. The proposal fails to reflect the character of the immediate streetscene, defined by low-level boundary treatments, soft landscaping, and a verdant appearance. As such, the development would result in unacceptable harm to the character and appearance of the area and is therefore contrary to Policy CP3 of the Cannock Chase Local Plan and relevant paragraphs of the National Planning Policy Framework.
