Planning conditions
  1. The application site is located within the designated Cannock Chase National Landscape. The car port, by way of the proposed siting, forward of the principal elevation and scale, would result in a prominent and incongruous feature in the context of the wider street scene. As such, the proposal fails to preserve or enhance the unique character of the street scene and Cannock Chase National Landscape. The proposal therefore fails to accord with the CP3 and CP14 of the Cannock Chase Local Plan (2014), Cannock Chase AONB Design Guide and the National Planning Policy Framework.
  2. Reason for Refusal of Planning Permission In accordance with paragraph (38) of the National Planning Policy Framework the Local Planning Authority has worked with the applicant in a positive and proactive manner to approve the proposed development. However, in this instance the proposal fails to accord with the Local Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework.
