The submitted application seeks discharge of the statutory Biodiversity Net Gain condition attached to planning permission CH/24/311, relating to the installation of a 132kV cable sealing end compound adjacent to an existing transmission pylon and ancillary works at land parcel reference SK 06087 17119. The BNG condition requires the following: “Unless an exception or a transitional arrangement applies, the effect of paragraph 13 of Schedule 7A to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 is that planning permission granted for the development of land in England is deemed to have been granted subject to the condition "(the biodiversity gain condition") that development may not begin unless: (a) a Biodiversity Gain Plan has been submitted to the planning authority, and (b) the planning authority has approved the plan.” Off-site habitat enhancements are being delivered in this case and the the following information is submitted to discharge this condition: •Biodiversity Gain Plan (file name: 2485852 Biodiversity_gain_plan Persimmon 210525) •Biodiversity Net Gain Metric (file name: B-CNCK2401-MST-V03 - Persimmon Cannock Chase v2 - EB Complete) •Biodiversity Metric Condition Assessment (file name: 2485852 Statutory Biodiversity Metric Condition Assessments - persimmon) In consultation with the Council’s ecologist it is confirmed that the condition can be discharged. The submitted Biodiversity Gain Plan and accompanying metric demonstrates that the development will meet the minimum 10% net gain for biodiversity. This is achieved by the purchase of the requisite number of off-site units which have been allocated to the development from a registered biodiversity gain site as checked on the government's official Biodiversity Gain Site Register. Accordingly subject to compliance with the submitted details the condition is discharged.
