Decision & conditions

Discharge of Conditions - Full Approval
Planning conditions
  1. The application seeks formal discharge of conditions associated with Planning Approval CH/23/0312 Condition 9. Condition 9 relates to works within 15m of NGED/NGET apparatus and requires amongst other matters that a plan of works, method statement and written confirmation from NGET or NGED that works are approved. The following works fall within the 15m of the NGED apparatus: • Concrete protection works 132 poly cable Spine Road 5 • Drainage under empty NGED 132 ducts • Works over existing oil filled 132 cables No objections have been received from Env Health or SCC Highways. Additional information was requested by National Grid in the form video survey of ducts provided. Since this time further comments from National Grid confirming the following have been received (email from Mark Edwards – Wayleave Manager 27/1/26): “The conditions required from Engie have been met as stated by our project engineer and highlighted in the text below. I can therefore confirm we have no further requirements for the conditions” The functional basis of the condition was to ensure care during works within the most sensitive areas near live cables. In light of the acceptance that sufficient information has now been provided to satisfy National Grid, Officers see no basis but to concur that the condition is no longer required and can be discharged.
