The application seeks discharge of planning conditions relating to condition 4 and 5 of Planning Approval Ch/23/0278. Respectively the conditions require submission and agreement of details relating to the foundations of the garage and the no dig protection surfacing proposed, alongside an Arboricultural Method Statement. The application includes a formal Arboricultural Method Statement and updated details in relation to the proposed foundation design are provided. The Council's Arboricultural Officer raises no objections to the proposals and overall the details are reasonable to assure the longevity of the retained trees. Subject to compliance with the approved details during the course of the construction of the development, conditions 4 and 5 are considered discharged. 4. No part of the development hereby approved shall commence or any actions likely to interfere with the biological function of the retained trees and hedges shall take place, until details of the proposed engineering approach to the construction of the foundations of the garage and the construction of the No Dig root protection surfacing to the driveway have been submitted and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Details shall include the position and construction of all fencing and the care and maintenance of the trees & hedges within. Thereafter the development shall be carried out in accordance with the agreed approach. 5. No part of the development hereby approved shall commence or any actions likely to interfere with the biological function of the retained trees and hedges shall take place, until a formal Arboricultural Method Statement have been submitted and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Thereafter the development shall be carried out in accordance with the agreed approach. Having examined the details I can confirm that they are suitable to discharge the information requirements of conditions 4 and 5 of the consent.
