  7. UnknownT/00498/25/TCA

Fell 1 conker tree at front of house. This tree has grown from an existing thick hedgerow and is causing a nuisance in respect of reduction of light to the property, roots breaking through the gravel drive and becoming close to the house, overhanging a public footpath and narrow byway potentially restricting access for vans etc and dropping large amounts of leaves and conkers that are slippery when wet. The house is otherwise surrounded by dense hedgerows and has a large oak tree. Removal of this conker tree is for good garden management and is not considered detrimental to the overall appearance of the conservation area given the high density of other vegetation within and surrounding the house.

Two trees (Tree 1 and Tree 2 on PDF sketch plan appended) overhang the boundary between the Old Malthouse and Kingswood House, but are rooted in the Old Malthouse boundary. The trees now overhang to such a degree that they are contacting the roof line of Kingswood House and may cause damage to the roof in a winter storm. The trees are the following species:Tree 1 - Cherry LaurelTree 2 - Damson We are seeking to trim back the limbs of the mentioned trees to 2m from the wall of Kingswood House on that side of the property. This will leave it slightly over the boundary with Old Malthouse and prevent that potential damage.

We would like to remove two coniferous trees (T1, T2) from the rear garden of 1 Glebe Meadow. The trees are very close to the boundary with No.2 and have outgrown the garden, as they are taller than the houses and cast significant shadows across the garden. Due to their proximity to the houses, they pose a risk in strong winds, especially as one appears to be hollowing around the base.
