  10. Unknown22/21193/TRCA

There are two trees (lilac and laurel) that are at the end of my driveway overhanging my neighbour, the High Street and are close to interfering with the overhead telephone wires. Their roots are causing damage to the retaining wall that holds the driveway back from the high street (the high street is lower than the driveway). Having spoken with a tree surgeon they have suggested cutting the trees back to a hedge level, amongst other things it will slow the root growth and reduce the damage to the wall. We will then monitor the root growth to ensure it's not materially damaging the retaining wall.
