To install an access hatch/skylight/velux from the loft space to provide maintenance access to the roof. The hatch would be 24" x 32 " and open outwards onto the roof it would be located on a pre-exisiting skylight frame which has been covered over. The existing frame is in poor condition and would need to be reconstructed to support the new roof light. The hatch will open onto a roof valley and its primary purpose is for roof maintenance and annual leaf clearance, this is currently not possible without scaffolding as the building is 9m tall and the roof is otherwise inaccessible.
