Planning conditions
  1. In the opinion of the Local Planning Authority the planning obligation continues to serve a useful purpose as it provides for accommodation for people with a local connection and restricts occupation to a household's principal residency . The proposed modifications to remove these restrictions would not serve the purposes of providing local occupation accommodation for people with a local connection or assist in reducing the proportion of second homes and holiday lets wihtin the housing stock of the National Park. The proposal is therefore contrary to the strategy and objectives of the Yorkshire Dales Local Plan (2025-2040), which is aimed at increasing the supply of more affordable housing for households that have a local, social or economic need to live in the National Park and reducing the adverse social and economic effects of having a high proportion of housing stock stock under occupied.
