The proposed subdivision of an existing residential plot to provide an adidtional dwellling would be contrary to the provisions of Policy C1 of the emerging Local Plan, and is not considered to be an appropriate location for the development proposed.
The intensification of the use of the application site, which would result in 2no. dwellings through the subdivision of the site, would be out of character with the street scene, and would result in an unacceptable overdevelopment of the site. The proposal for 1no. additional dwelling on the site is therefore not considered to be acceptable in this respect, and would be contrary to Policy SP4 of the existing Local Plan and Policy CP6 of the emerging Local Plan.
