Council planning record

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED WORKS: To create a parking area and extension of driveway in the vicinity of trees. Construction should be to a maximum of 300mm deep and should have a gravel surface layer. Any roots encountered greater than 50mm in diameter should remain with hand digging carried out in order to incorporate them in the surface layers. Clearance of the wooded area to the south east of the farmhouse has also been agreed to. Essentially the aim is to retain all specimen trees thinning out the young growth which is probably not part of the Tree Preservation Order. Thinning operations may also include the poorer hollies and sycamore retaining any that have the potential to develop into attractive specimens in the future.
