Council planning record

We are in the process of purchasing Charney Lodge, and expect to complete the purchase before Christmas. Following completion, we plan to remove all absetos from the property before we move in. At present the main roof (Photo 3), the single storey kitchen extension roof (Photo 4), and the detached garage roof to the rear of the property (Photo 2) are all asbestos tile. We plan to replace all with Burlington strong slate. I understand the boundary of the Grange conservation area runs down the Eden Mount boundary, and includes a strip of the plot - however, the conservation area does not reach the house itself. Some pruning / felling of trees within the conservation area will be required in order to carry out the work. NB This application has been submitted without a fee following advice from SLDC planning office (telecon on 23/11/12) - due to it relating to replacing asbestos with slate, the office was unsure whether a fee was required, and I was advised to submit without fee, and a fee would be requested at a later date if it turned out to be required. I have therefore selected one of the exemptions on the fees page, but clearly this is not strictly the reason for submitting with no fee.
