Council planning record

1. Limb removal of early mature Purple Plum (T1) - T1 is an early mature Category 'C' Purple Plum located on the eastern boundary of Brewery Mews and adjacent to the Greys Road public car park. The canopy of this tree has grown rapidly, we request a 30% crown reduction and the removal of the identified limb, which is over extended and is now overhanging the public car park. As you can (hopefully) see from the image provided , there is one lower lateral which has grown considerably and is in fact resting on the boundary wall. Our request is to remove this limb back to source, the length of the limb is about 1.5m but it is putting pressure on the wall so should be removed. The entire purple plum would benefit from a 30% crown reduction and removal of deadwood, this will reduce its height by approx 0.5m in height and its spread by possibly 1.5m. Additionally the lower limb resting on the wall will be removed Reduction of shrub T2 (Smoke Bush) - T2 is a large smoke bush with 2 stems both of which are >75mm. This is now a sizeable shrub and should be reduced in size to ensure safety for car park users. A 30% car park reduction is requested. Its height should be reduced by 1m and its width also by 1m.
