Application overview
T1 Silver Birch. Fell to ground level and plant a replacement. Tree is in irreversible decline. Dead wood and Piptoporous betulinus (decay fungus of birch) throughout. Recent branch drop where P.betulinus was colonising it. T2 Gingko biloba. Lift crown by removing branch tips only, to provide a 1m clearance off the roof of the garage. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain crown form. This work will ensure future compatibility with its surroundings as the tree is very close to adjacent garage with the canopy now resting on the garage roof.
