T1 mature Beech in rear garden, slight incline over neighbouring property. Neighbouring tree which formed part of a communal crown was previously removed, which accounts for the slight crown bias. Tree displays signs of stress through bud density and yearly extension growth being less than expected, particularly in relation to nearby Beech trees. Slight hooking of branch tips, dieback, branch loss and minor branches noted on the lawn, indicating possible stress related cladoptosis. These observed signs may indicate a long-term decline spiral. Tree located in close proximity to house and children's play area. Dismantle tree in sections to ground level.
