Council milestones and published deadlines. A deadline passing does not confirm a decision.
A eucalyptus tree which is in close proximity to our property (1m) and the neighbouring property (5m) as marked on plan. The tree has large longitudinal splits in the trunk which may be due to a fungal infection. We have been advised by our tree surgeon that this damage is likely to worsen and weaken the tree and is likely to eventually kill it. It is at increased risk of falling down in high winds and we want to remove the tree before it causes damage to either property. The adjacent pear tree will remain. We do not want to replant a tree in the same position as the existing pear tree is already crowded by the eucalyptus tree and there is limited space between the two houses.
