There are two stands of self-seeded hazels along the driveway to Winterbrook House and The Old Court. They appear to have been coppiced in the past but are now quite numerous and very close to the tall brick wall. This wall is in the curtilage of a listed building Winterbrook House and the locally listed Old Nags Head - see map. The wall is very tall, having once formed the back wall of a glasshouse belonging to Winterbrook House. The wall is badly in need of repointing which will be difficult as the trees are so close - see photos. The trees are impinging on the telephone line to The Old Court they need re-coppicing.
