Council planning record

T1 - Norway Maple - removal of the tree because of shading and low amenity value, No outward signs of any significant disease or decay in the trunk base or root system. Crudely topped at 14-15m and lopped (1m branch stubs) around 10 years ago, resulting in large pruning wounds of less than 325mm in diameter and dense regrowth of new shoots. Bark death and cambial dysfunction spreading down from the topping and lopping wounds. Natural crown shape, amenity value and natural life expectancy have been severely compromised and whilst a new crown could ultimately be formed, this tree will require regular remedial work for the rest of its remaining safe useful life. I propose to re plant a new Semi mature Silver birch at the back of the garden where there is ample room, tree would be 2m. - 3m high, end of my garden plot.
