Council planning record

Remove major deadwood and sever ivy on all retained trees. (TPO tree Nos referred to where possible). P1 - Pine - retain (not listed on TPO for this address, but possibly shown on map). T6 or T8 - Ash - unclear whether T6 or T8 - retain and monitor condition for suspected dieback. T11 - Lime - Fell. Tree is in decline (crown is dying back from the tips and full of major deadwood). Proximity to the house and children playing under canopy mean its removal would be desirable. W1 - Walnut - fell. Tree displays multiple faults: bark necrosis, poor habit, dieback, suppression etc (not listed on TPO). G1 - Group 1 as shown on TPO map. Generic work in this group: 1. Remove young, unwanted, self-sown trees (identified on site wit hazard tape). 2. Crown lift beeches overhanging lawn and neighbouring property to 4.5m (by removal of branch tips only) to allow full use of lawn and remove nuisance of low branches to both parties. Crown tidy beeches by removal of dead, dying and weak branches to enhance canopies and lessen the likelihood of injury and damage. Specific work in this group: A1 - Ash - Retain and monitor condition for suspected dieback. B1 - Beech - Retain. B2 - Beech - Retain. B3 - Beech - Fell. Habit has been irreversibly spoilt by previous reduction. Tree is literally out of line with the rest of the group and wouldn't be missed. Y1 - Yew - retain. Formatively prune (not listed on TPO). B4 - Beech - retain. Y2 - Yew - As Y1 above. B5 - Beech - Fell. The tree has been suppressed by adjacent canopies resulting in asymmetrical habit. Remove now and replant. B6 - Beech - Retain. Inspect hollow wound. B7 - Beech - Retain. Inspect fork. Consider installing cobra brace to preserve. B8 - Beech - Retain. B9 - Beech - Retain. B10 - Beech - Retain. Inspect gall. B11 - Beech - Retain. B12 - Beech - Fell and replant. Tree was bifurcated. One stem historically lost Pathogen entry into resulting wound will ultimately cause the demise of remaining stem. B13 - Beech - Fell. As B5 above. B14 - Beech - Retain. B15 - Beech - Retain. Additional proposals to other trees on site - these trees would not appear to be covered by any protective legislation. Confirmation appreciated. S1 & S2 - Sycamores - Fell. Unwanted, non-native, self-seeding creators of excessive shade. H Hazels - Coppice to manage. Y3-5 - Yews - Retain. Formatively prune. SB Silver Birch - Fell stump. P Plum - Fell. Tree is moribund.
