Council planning record

The proposed work relates to the crown reduction, or potential removal of a maple tree on our property, which is in a Conservation Area in Goring. I have included a number of photographs and a sketch plan with this submission, but we would greatly appreciate a site visit by an LPA officer to help us decide the best course of action. Our concern is that a Maple which used to stand immediately next to the tree in question fell in high winds last year and the arborist who came to remove the fallen tree has significant concerns that this Maple may also be diseased and at a risk of toppling. To heighten this concern, the tree sits at the boundary to our property and just next to the Goring Medical Practice. We were incredibly lucky that when the neighbouring Maple fell last year, it fell back into our property, but it could have easily caused significant damage to the Goring Medical Practice, if the tree had fallen in that direction. In summary therefore, we would like to either complete a significant (approx 3m) crown reduction on the tree, to reduce the risk of it falling,
