Council planning record

We wish to prune the trees to gain the legally required 5m clearance under the 2006 ESQR regulations on behalf of SSE. This is To ensure safe continuous power supply and mitigate potential of trees failing onto network. All work to be undertaken as per BS3998. T116305-OAK-Reduce crown closest to overhead power lines by 1.5m (overhanging B4256) to achieve 5m clearance from lines. T116741- 1 x OAK (Healthy condition)-Under prune-Reduce any limbs that fall within 5m of powerlines to appropriate growth points and remove any epicormic growth within 5m of powerlines back to source. 1x OAK-(Declining)-Reduce to naturally retrenched crown(see pictures for specifications).Has potential to fail on to network. There are no potential habitat/roost sites within this tree but is worth retaining for future habitat potential. 2x Larch-Reduce height by 6-7m to growth points just below neighbouring failed stem. This is to mitigate potential to fail onto network equipment. Reduce remaining laterals by up to 2m. I feel it is worth retaining these trees for a number of reasons. Future habitat. Eco diversity. As boundary/flight line for bats etc. Screening. Aesthetics. 1 X Larch-Dismantle to ground level. This is a very tall and very slim tree. With the decreased wind shelter from other trees being pruned, its natural lean towards power network and the nature of Larch I believe it will have high potential for failure onto network equipment. The standing dead stem shows signs of Larch bark beetle.
