Norway Maple (G1) - bring down to eco stump, hopefully regenerate epicormic growth, leave for nesting birds/wildlife. This Norway Maple has died, the top section is riddled with decay, there are cavities present caused by repeat wood pecker activity. We propose to remove the top section, minimising the threat of failure and leave at 5m as an eco stump. My client understands these trees contribute to a high amenity value and is keen for this Maple to be made safe.
