Application overview
T34 - Horse Chestnut - Base / stems obscured - Vegetation. Crack - Horizontal. Ivy or climbing plant. Lesion or fracture on stem / bole - Major. Pruning wounds - Decayed. There is a large open cavity at around 2m on the southwest, where a codominant stem has been lost. The decay extends downward into the main trunk. There is a crack on the north side where the stem has failed. There are fruiting bodies consistent with those of the fungus Cerioporus squamosus emanating from a branch wound on the 1st order branch at approximately 5.5m on the northeast. Fell - retain high stump.
