T1 Tree of Heaven - We are requesting permission to fell the tree of heaven. The wood structure is weak and this is evidenced here by the recent and historical limb failures. The tree is already out of scale with its surroundings, having attained 50% of its full growth potential, and is wholly inappropriate for a small garden. The gaps in the canopy caused by limb failures has left the remaining canopy susceptible to further failures, thereby rendering the garden questionably safe. Reducing or restructuring this species of tree is impractical and likely to initiate prolific reaction growth at the cut points.
