Oak 4298 by Flint Fold - One small broken branch to be removed over parking space. Remove broken hanging branch. Cherry to rear of large old oak 4311, by walkway from Flint Fold - gale damaged - remove broken limb, reduce very long limb on west side that grows towards the parking area to balance crown. Young Beech trees 4558, 4559, 4560, 4562 in or adjacent to centre circle - severe squirrel damage in crowns - fell and replant with other species. Oak 4319 in centre circle - history of increasing Collybia fungal fruit bodies at base, tar spotting on trunk and recent dieback in upper crown. Reduce crown to secondary growth approximately 4m above main trunk union at 8m. Tree 4341 Oak near entrance, tree 4343 Beech near entrance. Some larger deadwood now present in the crowns. Recommended work - remove deadwood. Beech 4358 - rear of parking spaces near main entrance. Very tall tree, to around 27m and close to parking spaces. No long branches make crown top heavy and visibly swaying much more than nearby trees in gales in 2020. Left isolated and vulnerable after removal of several similar trees to south that were diseased. Concerns over safety in this high risk area. Recommended work - fell and replant with Oak. Cherry to north of tagged beech 4375 by physio trail. Severe trunk canker - fell. Whitebeams 4566 and 4567 - party uprooted in gales/severe trunk decay - leaning over path and high risk to people - fell as soon as possible - close path until works complete.
